The best table tennis robots of 2026, ranked by what Reddit owners actually say

12 verdicts from 26 people across 23 threads on r/tabletennis, counted one person one voice, with the thread behind every number one click away.

The short answer

Pongbot is the only table tennis robot enough Reddit owners have judged to rank, at 31 out of 100. Based on 12 judgments from 26 people on r/tabletennis, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026.

  1. 1. Pongbot 31

Table tennis is the sport where the subreddit argues about robots the most and names them the least. Most threads are about whether a robot helps at all, with a coach feeding multi-ball as the thing every robot gets measured against.

Only one brand collected enough named judgments this year to be scored. The Butterfly Amicus and the Power Pong Omega come up as the robots people used to buy, and one owner says both fell out of favour once the cheaper Pongbots arrived. Not enough people passed judgment on either for a score, so they sit in the heard list with their numbers.

A comment about robots in general doesn't count for the brand whose thread it sits in, and nothing written by Pongbot's own account, or by anyone at Atlas, is counted anywhere.

Our client, and the only robot brand enough people judged this year to score. Owners rate the cheap end of the range as good for the money and use it for repetition, drilling one shot until it sticks. The complaints are about drills that get harder in jumps rather than steps, and about what no robot can do: give you a human motion to read the spin from.

“I have a Pongbot and it’s useful for things like burning technique into muscle memory through repetition.”

“You can’t learn to read the spin or direction of the ball because there is no human motion on the other side.”

Heard, not ranked

A brand is ranked once 10 different people have said something about it and at least 5 of those were judgments. These are below that line, so far.

How we count

We read every thread on r/tabletennis that names a table tennis robot brand, from Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. A model pulls out each claim a person makes, in their own words, and labels it positive, negative, or neutral. Only positive and negative claims count toward the score. The neutral ones, like a battery time or a hopper size, still count as the brand being talked about.

  1. The score is the lower bound of a Wilson interval on the share of positive judgments, the same kind of math Reddit's own “best” sort uses. A brand with few judgments cannot leap over one with many. It is a floor on how positive Reddit is about the brand, not an average.
  2. A claim counts for a brand when it names the brand or one of its products. A comment in a thread about one machine also counts for that machine when it talks about the product itself, like its app, battery, price, delivery or support. A comment about table tennis robots in general counts for nobody.
  3. People, not posts. Someone who says the same thing five times counts once, and the same sentence posted by two accounts counts once.
  4. Left out: Pongbot's own account, the accounts of anyone at Atlas, deleted users, and bots. Betting and unrelated subreddits that share a brand name are never read.
  5. Ranked means 10 or more people and 5 or more judgments. Below that a brand is listed with its numbers and no score.
  6. Quotes are verbatim, cut at 240 characters, with usernames removed. Each links to its thread. Product photos come from each brand's own product page and are credited under the picture.

Polarity labels come from a model and are spot-checked by a person. They still miss sometimes. If a quote is labelled wrong, or a claim was counted for the wrong brand, email juice@atlasoperations.io with the quote. The fix goes into the next edition and the changelog below says what changed.

Questions people ask

Which table tennis robot does Reddit rate highest?

Pongbot, with a score of 31 out of 100: 6 positive and 4 negative judgments from 20 people in 16 threads on r/tabletennis between Oct 2025 and Sep 2026.

Which table tennis robot brand gets talked about most on Reddit?

Pongbot: 20 people said something about it in 16 threads, 6 positive and 4 negative.

Which ranked table tennis robot gets the most complaints on Reddit?

By share of judgments, Pongbot: 4 of its 10 judgments were negative.

Why is only one brand ranked?

Because the subreddit argues about robots far more than it names them. Amicus and Power Pong are mentioned as the machines people used to buy, and neither collected enough judgments this year to clear the line described under How we count.

Why is Pongbot on this page if Atlas works for them?

Because leaving them off would be the dishonest option. Its row is built by the same script as every other row, the negative quotes are on the page, and the data file is public.

Can a brand pay to move up?

No. Nothing on this page is paid placement. The score moves when Reddit owners say new things, and every edition recounts from scratch.
